Your Role

  • Become familiar with reverse awarding by spending time on UMBC’s Credit When It’s Due (CWID) website. This website serves as the central resource for all constituencies associated with the reverse awarding initiative and will be updated frequently with relevant information and student success stories.
  • Enthusiastically promote the reverse awarding initiative with transfer students you encounter through teaching or advising. In addition, please actively refer students to the Credit When It’s Due website and encourage them to complete a free, no obligation application.
  • Partner and collaborate with designated CWID advisors in the development of strategic academic plans that facilitate degree completion. UMBC advisors, faculty and staff can play a major role in helping students recognize the value of completing their associate’s degree at the same time they are pursuing their BA, BS or BFA.
